Missoula, MTA pickup operated by John R. Bradstreet was driving northbound when it crossed into Michael B. Berman’s lane, striking him head on. A third vehicle was unable to avoid the crash, but that driver suffered only minor injuries. Berman and the third driver were wearing seatbelts, but Bradstreet was apparently not, and both Berman and Bradstreet were pronounced dead on the scene of multiple trauma.

Billings, MTThe passenger of the car that was rear-ended was taken to the hospital with neck injuries. After the crash, a woman got out of the offending vehicle, and a passenger then took the driver's seat and fled the scene.
