Juan Izarraraz was going east on Q Street when he veered into another lane and hit Rocio Martinez-Vega, going in the same direction. Izarraraz then overcorrected and flipped on his side, before hitting the back of a truck driven by Manuel Ramirez that was stopped in that same area. A total of seven occupants in three vehicles were transported to local hospitals for treatment. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Omaha police have arrested a 24-year-old man on suspicion of drunken driving after they say drove his pickup into the back of another truck, then crashed into a house.

Police say Joseph Linhart drove off after rear-ending another pickup stopped for a red light in south Omaha around 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

They say Linhart then lost control of his truck while speeding away, crashing into a home near 52nd and O streets.

Police say he tried to flee on foot but was caught a short distance away.

At least 10 people have been hospitalized and others could be trapped after an explosion and partial building collapse Monday at an Omaha animal feed processing plant. Interim Omaha Fire Chief Bernie Kanger said he's not sure how many workers could be trapped in the wreckage of the International Nutrition plant. The fire that followed the explosion around 10 a.m. has been extinguished, but firefighters gingerly searched the structure, fearing that more debris could rain down. "It's very extreme conditions" inside the plant now, Kanger said. "There is significant structural damage inside."
