Alamogordo police say a car was traveling at high speed when it failed to negotiate a curve and rolled over, killing three airmen from Holloman Air Force Base.

The identities of those killed in the Tuesday morning accident were withheld pending notification of relatives.

A city worker spotted the wreck in the desert after dawn, but it apparently happened hours earlier.

A Holloman spokesman says the victims were assigned to the 49th Wing. They included one instructor and two students with the wing's remotely piloted aircraft squadron.
