Michael Yaromich, 15, of New Philadelphia, and David Lowky, 19, of Hartville, both were killed in the collision that occurred about 2 a.m. Saturday on State Street near Fromes Avenue. A third occupant the car, Samuel J. Liakhovitch, 19, of North Canton, was transported to Mercy Hospital with serious injuries.  The vehicle was heading east on State Street when it exited the road, hit a ditch, and crashed into trees. The vehicle rolled and ejected the three occupants. No one was wearing a seatbelt. The state patrol said speed appears to be a factor in the deadly collision.

Dwaine J. Traylor, 22, of Akron, was drag-racing with a female driver when his Mitsubishi spun out of control and struck her Corolla. He is being charged with aggravated vehicular assault, felony hit skip, drag racing, and driving under suspension. The female is in critical condition at Akron General Medical Center. A 17-year-old passenger was involved in the crash but sustained no injuries and has been released to his mother.

A car driven by a woman, with a man and another woman as passengers, was driving northeast on Todd Road when it departed the road way and collided with a pole and was torn in half. The two passengers, who are believed to be in their late teens or early 20's, were killed in the crash, and the driver was transported to the hospital. It is uncertain what caused the crash, but police believe the car may have been speeding; we will updates this accident with new information as it becomes available.

Investigators said speed was a factor in the crash, and estimate the car was going between 76 and 82 miles per hour. Toxicology reports showed the driver, Jaylynn Rigio, was high on marijuana. Rigio had just gotten his driver's license, and OHP said he should never have had four people in the car with him. Nobody was wearing a seat belt.
