Sarah Jennifer Hall, 34, of Port Clinton was driving westbound on Bay Shore near State when her Honda went off the right side of the road into the ditch, struck a utility pole, overturned, and finally came to rest its left side. Ohio Highway Patrol believes alcohol was a factor. Hall was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

A fatal car crash occurred in the 4100 block of Half Acre Road in Batavia, just after 2 a.m. Saturday. Donald Carter, 35, was driving southbound on Half Acre Road when the vehicle exited the road and then hit a mailbox, a utility pole, and a tree. The vehicle then overturned and hit a fence and a house. Matthew Milton, 35, a passenger in the vehicle, died at the crash scene. Carter and another passenger, Scott Brown, 35, were taken to UC Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies say alcohol was a factor in an early morning crash that injured three people. The crash occurred about 2:40 a,m on Kellogg Avenue as Steve Wayne Taulbee, 22, was driving east, Hamilton County deputies said. Taulbee changed lanes to the left and lost control of his 1995 Honda Accord. The car left the road and its left side struck a wall, the Honda then bounced off the wall and the front left corner hit a utility pole. Taulbee, of New Richmond, and two passengers in his back seat were injured, deputies aid.
