Houston, TXIt was about 4:00 a.m. when a car that witnesses say was driving erratically on Highway 288 left the roadway, drove up an embankment, and flipped. Before the incident witnesses claim they saw the car stop on the side of the road several times before driving and swerving across all of the lanes. So far, investigators believe that the four women inside of the vehicle may have been in some kind of argument. Two of the women, the driver and front-seat passenger, were found dead at the scene, while the other two were hospitalized and are expected to survive.

Odessa-Midland, TX19-year-old Francisco Carillo of El Paso was driving a car west on Interstate 20 five miles west of Pecos when he suddenly swerved to avoid an animal in the roadway. The vehicle rolled, and a passenger, Joshua Lee Griffen, 18, was ejected. He died from his injuries. Another passenger, 18-year-old Jackie Scott of Odessa, was also injured. Carillo and Scott were transported to Reeves County Hospital in stable condition.
