Riverside, CAAccording to the California Highway Patrol, Daniel Lopez Jr. was one of six people in a pickup that was pulling out of a private driveway onto Simpson Road east of Patterson Avenue at the same time that Michael Vargas was driving down Simpson Road in a 2012 Suzuki GSXR. Witnesses say Vargas was driving at speeds exceeding 100 mph.

Tuesday, October 14, 2014John Michael Gibson, 58, was killed driving his motorcycle in a collision with an SUV driven by Shane Michael Ambrose Graybeal, 18, on South Rosemont Road in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Graybeal is being cited with failure to yield. He collided with a southbound Gibson when making a left turn from Silina Drive onto South Rosemont Road, killing Gibson at the scene. Neither alcohol nor high-speed are believed to be involved in the collision, which is still under investigation.
