San Diego, CATiffany Kennedy was speeding on Lincoln Avenue when she lost control of her car and struck a light pole at the intersection of LIncoln Avenue and Fig Street. She was the only one in the car, and she sustained serious injuries. Police believe that drugs were involved in this crash.

San Diego, CAAn 18-year-old Oceanside man early Monday morning after his pickup crashed on I-5 in Encinitas. His Nissan pickup was northbound when the vehicle overturned several times and struck a light pole near Leucadia Boulevard. The pole fell after the impact and struck the windshield of a UPS semi. The semi driver, a 49-year-old West Covina man, was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The Nissan driver had to be extricated by firefighters, and he was transported to a hospital, where he died. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.
