According to witnesses, two cars were racing near Candlestick park before crashing into each other, causing one vehicle to end up submerged in San Francisco Bay. One of the drivers involved claims it was not a racing crash. The driver that was in the car that landed in the bay survived and escaped with only minor injuries. The car was recovered too, but sustained significant damage.

Members of the Milwaukee Fire Department Dive Rescue Team used arms and elbows to chop their way through the ice-covered Menomonee River on Wednesday, pulling a woman from a submerged vehicle that went off the 27th St. viaduct, a fire official said. Milwaukee police say a 25-year-old woman and a 19-year-old female passenger were drag racing when the driver lost control of her vehicle, which went over a concrete barrier went off the 27th St. viaduct just north of Canal Street into the Menomonee River shortly before 6 p.m.

Tarpon Springs Police have identified two people killed in a crash Saturday on U.S. 19. Dive teams members with the Tarpon Springs PD found one vehicle in this retention pond. Nicholas Ray Osborn, 37, and Marco S. Valez, 39, of Clearwater died when the 1998 Mercedes SLK 230 they were in lost control in a northbound lane and crashed into a pond just before 3 a.m. The crash happened at the intersection of U.S. 19 and Martin Luther King Jr. Investigators think the Mercedes may have been racing a white car that witnesses saw leaving the area.
