Los Angeles, CAA 45-year-old pedestrian was crossing Vernon Avenue when he was struck by a 31-year-old motorist who was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where he was declared dead. The accident remains under investigation.
