Anne Brandt was injured after being dragged by a taxi cab in April while the cab driver talked on his cellphone, and she has filed a lawsuit in Cook County Circuit Court. The incident occurred after the taxi dropped her off April 23 near Michigan Avenue and Washington Street. When Brandt exited the cab and closed the door, her clothing wascaught in the close door of the taxi. The driver then drove away, subsequently dragging Brandt, the suit alleges. Brandt claims the driver was talking on his cellphone and did not allow her to reach a place of safety before he drove away.
