A recent graduate of Saint Francis died in a car crash in Waimanalo on Wednesday. Jessica Lum, 19, graduated from Saint Francis in 2013.  Honolulu police say Lum and two others in the car were not wearing seat belts. Authorities believe speed was a factor and they're investigating whether alcohol was involved. One witness says a passenger told her the driver may have dropped her cell phone, just before losing control and veering into a utility pole.
