Raleigh-Durham, NCPolice closed Old Wake Forest Road in the area of Falls of Neuse Road early Wednesday after an accident knocked down a power transformer and brought lines down into the street.
There were no reports of injuries in the accident, which happened about 6:30 a.m.
Duke Energy Progress crews were called to the scene to make repairs.

Honolulu, HIThe National Weather Service says the bad weather brought down a power line in Kailua.
It happened around 9:30 Sunday morning and a young man was injured.
The 22-year-old saw his van on fire and tried to put the fire out. That's when trouble began.
The quiet of a Sunday morning on Ohana Avenue was shattered when residents heard a loud explosion.
A power line split both ends of the live wire which caused considerable damage.
Fortunately, he was not. The young man was taken to Castle Medical Center in critical condition and was later transferred to Queen's.
