Honolulu, HIA Hawaiian Electric crew is doing repairs affecting service to customers along Diamond Head Road. At 3:15 p.m., Honolulu police received a call of a vehicle hitting a telephone pole which caused it to lean. The pole needs to be replaced, and in the meantime, 245 customers are without power. The repair crew is trying to reroute power and get electric service back to those customers. Because of the accident and repair work, HPD have closed Diamond Head Road in both directions between Leahi Beach Park and Coconut Avenue.

Honolulu, HIPolice have reopened Salt Lake Boulevard after a single-car accident.
The incident happened at about 12:30 a.m. Friday.
Police say they were forced to close the road due to downed lines after the car hit the pole.
Hawaiian Electric officials say it has nothing to do with the power.
Salt Lake Boulevard was closed between Maluna and Wanaka Streets while crews repaired the lines.

Honolulu, HIThe National Weather Service says the bad weather brought down a power line in Kailua.
It happened around 9:30 Sunday morning and a young man was injured.
The 22-year-old saw his van on fire and tried to put the fire out. That's when trouble began.
The quiet of a Sunday morning on Ohana Avenue was shattered when residents heard a loud explosion.
A power line split both ends of the live wire which caused considerable damage.
Fortunately, he was not. The young man was taken to Castle Medical Center in critical condition and was later transferred to Queen's.
