A teen slammed into a utility pole in his mother's car in Clayton, North Carolina. The accident took place at approximately 1:30 a.m. Saturday on Josephine Road. The utility pole was knocked over, and troopers say that the 14-year-old boy driving the car succumbed to minor injuries and was sent to a Clayton hospital. Authorities say alcohol wasn't a factor in the crash, but the State Highway Patrol is planning to seek charges because of the driver's age. Nearby roads have been blocked off while Duke Energy replaces the pole.
