Birmingham, ALTwo people are dead and three others injured after the truck they were in was hit by a train in Tuscaloosa Tuesday morning, a representative for the Alabama State Troopers said Wednesday.
The accident occurred on at the rail crossing at the intersection of Larry Nolan Road and University Boulevard East near Cottondale.
It is not clear if the snow showers, icy roads and other winter conditions that plagued drivers in the state Tuesday were a major contributing factor to the collision.
