Fernando Gutierrez Jr. ran a stop sign on Van Wert Street and struck a Volkswagen Jetta going east on West Florida Street, causing the car to roll over and come to rest on its roof. Wilson died in the hospital following the crash. Gutierrez was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, careless and reckless driving, failure to reduce speed, and failure to stop for a stop sign.

A Winston-Salem/Forsyth County school bus with more than two dozen students on board was involved in a collision Wednesday morning. The two-vehicle collision happened around 6:50 a.m. at the intersection of West Clemmonsville Road and Ebert Road. No one was injured. Bus #472 was going south on West Clemmonsville Road when an SUV ran a red traffic light and hit the bus, Winston-Salem police said. The SUV driver was cited for a stop light violation. The bus was carrying 26 students at the time of the collision.

A man riding a moped was killed in a collision with another vehicle Tuesday night. Daniel Bruce Frost, 66, of Burlington, was killed around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of South Church Street and Gurney Street. Frost was driving a 2009 Honda moped west on South Church Street when he collided with a 2008 Chevrolet going north on Gurney Street, Burlington police said. Frost was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car wasn't injured. The investigation continues. Two witnesses told police Frost ran a red light.
