An unidentified 17-year-old boy was riding a skateboard north on 5th Avenue, and was in the crosswalk making his way across Market Street, when he was struck by a westbound car. The teenager sustained critical injuries that were considered life-threatening and is currently in the hospital. The driver received a citation for not yielding to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
