A hit-and-run collision in Salem County critically injured the 17-year-old victim who was struck on his skateboard near Hook Road and Lee Avenue around 2:00 a.m. Sunday. Investigators say the vehicle was a Hyundai Elantra as determined by key evidence found at the crash site.The teen, a Pennsville Memorial High School football player, is in critical condition at Christiana Hospital in Delaware.

Kyle Pszenny was on his way home from his girlfriend's house on a skateboard when he was struck by a car. The driver fled the scene. Pszenny suffered severe leg and head injuries and was taken to the Christiana Hospital in critical condition. The driver of the car, later identified as 23-year-old Zachary D. McDonough, grew up with Pszenny and was a close friend of his. When police found his damaged car, he turned himself in a few hours later.
