A 15-year-old boy was skateboarding in a parking lot at 2290 South 1300 East shortly before 3:00 p.m. when he was struck by a 63-year-old man driving an SUV. The teenager was critically injured by the collision, and remained in critical condition the next day, though no new updates have been available.

An 18-year-old BYU student remains in critical condition after being hit by a car while riding her longboard skateboard, according to her parents. Lexi Mae Hansen was hit Wednesday evening as she was crossing Canyon Road on her longboard. Lt. Matt Siufanua with the Provo Police Department said Hansen was riding her longboard south on University Avenue just before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night when she was hit by a car making a turn onto Canyon Road.
