At around 12:20pm, the rear tire of an SUV with several passengers malfunctioned, which caused the driver to lose control, strike the center guardrail, and flip upside-down into the opposing lanes. Of the people in the SUV, three died from the crash, including 2 women and 1 man, and three were injured. The 35-year-old woman and 21-year-old man that were injured were hospitalized with potentially serious injuries, and the 2-year-old girl that was injured was hospitalized with less serious injuries.
