San Diego, CAMelissa Ratcliff was killed in an accident with a vehicle on the 7700 block of Girard Avenue. She was the vice president of marketing for the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. She had just gotten out of her vehicle when she was struck and pinned by another car at approximately noon on Tuesday.

San Diego, CAFour people were injured in a suspected DUI crash in Oceanside.
The incident occurred on westbound state Route 76 near Canyon Drive on Friday evening.
A Oceanside police Lt. stated that the driver of a Honda SUV was under the influence when he crashed the vehicle into a freeway sign pole. The driver was hospitalized with minor injuries and was then taken to jail.
Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to rescue three passengers from the wreckage. Two women were airlifted to Scripps Memorial Hospital. The third passenger, a man, was taken by ambulance to Palomar Medical Center.
