Police responded to a wreck at the intersection of East 14th Street and Euclid Avenue in Des Moines at approximately 12:25 a.m. and discovered a rear-end two-car accident. A 44-year-old woman was driving the car that was rear-ended, and she told officers she was stopped at a red light when she was rear-ended from behind. In the driver's seat of the second car was a 25-year-old Des Moines woman who displayed numerous signs of being intoxicated and admitted to drinking, but she claimed that she wasn’t driving at the time of the accident.

A man is accused of setting two houses on fire on 4th Street and F Street, which fortunately had no one in them at the time. After commiting arson, the suspect backed his car up to the front doors of a Good and Quick convenience store then slammed on the gas, causing the car to blast backwards into the store and nearly strike two people. The man then sped away at speeds of up to 80 mph.

A 31-year-old woman sustained serious internal injuries after a tractor wheel rolled over her. The incident occured Sunday, October 12 around 2:30 p.m. when the woman was helping move two tractors and fell between them, where she was briefly pinned under the wheel. The accident happend at 403 Elm Avenue in Woodward, Iowa in Dallas County. The woman is being treated at Mercy Medical Center. Her condition is not yet known.
