44-year-old Scott Trueblood was a newly trained hang glider pilot, but that doesn't explain why he appeared to fly straight into a mountainside in Wawarsing during one of his flights at about 6:00 p.m., a crash that took his life. Others who were at the scene said the weather conditions were perfect, and those who new Trueblood said it was well within his ability to avoid that crash. Police are currently reviewing camera footage from his hang glider to try and answer those questions. Check back for updates.

Langford Banda's blood-alcohol level was nearly twice the legal limit when he slammed his car into the back of a parked NYPD vehicle in Queens, allegedly injuring two police officers. Banda, the second secretary of communications for the African nation’s UN mission, will not be facing any charges because of his diplomatic immunity.

A police officer stopped Stefone Dreher on I-87. Dreher appeared to be intoxicated and failed sobriety tests, so he was arrested. While the officer was waiting for a tow truck to remove Dreher's vehicle, another vehicle struck both the police car and Dreher's vehicle. The driver, James A. Felter, was also intoxicated and arrested for DUI. Dreher and the officer were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
