A man stole a Jet Ski from an industrial area off Dimond Boulevard and loaded it onto a trailer on the back of a pickup truck, and headed north on Old Seward Highway. A witness called police and they caught up with him at International Airport Road and C Street. The officers attempted to stop the man, but he instead initiated a chase. Police chased for a short time before hanging back due to public safety concerns. The man had begun running red lights, and soon after he crashed into a traffic sign at Fireweed Lane and Arctic Boulevard.

According to police in Grand Junction, at about 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, a 17-year-old teenage boy apparently sped off the south edge of Grand Avenue in the 700 block and then veered into the westbound lanes in the 800 block, where he struck a motorcyclist, identified as Preston Ellis, 57, and a parked car. Ellis was killed. The teen, who was armed, fled the scene with his backpack and a gun. He then forced a woman and her two children out of their SUV on the east side of Washington Park.

At about 3:30am, a semi-truck changing from northbound I-405 to northbound I-5 rolled onto its side, resulting in its cargo, millions of bees in boxes each containing about 5000, being spilled across the freeway. Thousands of bees escaped, and while beekeepers are using smoke to calm the bees and attempt to reload them, firefighters had to resort to using foam to kill many of them. The driver of the bee truck was not injured in the crash, and cleanup of the scene should be complete by about 10:00am.

Police responded to a wreck at the intersection of East 14th Street and Euclid Avenue in Des Moines at approximately 12:25 a.m. and discovered a rear-end two-car accident. A 44-year-old woman was driving the car that was rear-ended, and she told officers she was stopped at a red light when she was rear-ended from behind. In the driver's seat of the second car was a 25-year-old Des Moines woman who displayed numerous signs of being intoxicated and admitted to drinking, but she claimed that she wasn’t driving at the time of the accident.

A driver was killed after he crashed into a cane field around 9 a.m. Wednesday as he was trying to pass a vehicle at high speeds along Rosedale Road near Poydras Bayou Drive in West Baton Rouge Parish. A woman in the car told first responders that she had been kidnapped by the man on Tuesday night in East Baton Rouge Parish. The woman was airlifted to a hospital. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.

Kenneth Golightly ordered two EMTs from an ambulance with his knife, then stole the vehicle and went speeding off into the city with the emergency lights on. Witnesses say he reached up to 70 mph. The joyride ended when the ambulance crashed into a fence. Golightly attempted to flee the scene, but a witness was able to direct officers to him. He was taken into custody, with his bond set at $20,000.

It was about 9:30pm when a police officer attempted to pull over a woman on West Cerritos Avenue in Cypress, and she sped away, leading Cypress police on a high-speed chase through city streets. At one point, the woman apparently threw a dog out of her car window, before crashing just inside the city limits of Anaheim on South Nutwood Street. She was arrested and is suspected of DUI, as well as animal cruelty and evading arrest.
