Haase and Erickson had both pulled over to check an overturned vehicle on Belfair-Tahuya Road for anyone in need of help, when they themselves were struck by a car driven by Docie Burch, who had lost control on the icy bridge. Both men were injured, and while Haase remains in critical condition Erickson has been treated and released. Both Burch and a nearby resident, Jason Costa, stopped to aid the injured men and contact emergency services. Suncica and Sejfudin Sejdninovic were riding in a Jeep on U.S. Highway 63 when the vehicle hit a patch of ice and Suncica, who was, driving, lost control. Both people sustained non-life threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital in Rochester. Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

At around 1:00pm, Blevins was traveling southbound on State Highway 76 when she lost control, likely due to the snow and slush on the roadway, and rolled over off of the road, leaving her dead at the scene.

A mother and daughter were killed and five of the woman's other children were injured in a rollover car accident on a snowy interstate south of Pocatello. Rachel Hollibaugh, 38, of Dietrich, Idaho, was pronounced deceased at the crash site on Christmas morning, as was her 14-year-old daughter, Tanessa Hollibaugh. The five injured children were transported to a Pocatello hospital. Three children were treated and released, and a fourth was still at the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. According to investigators, the mother lost control of a Ford F-250 pickup and the vehicle rolled.

At 10 a.m. Wednesday at the border of Yonkers and Greenburgh near Home Depot and Costco on Sprain Road, a man driving a Toyota Corolla collided with a Cadillac in the heavy rain. The Toyota driver was a man in his 30s or 40s, and he was declared dead at the scene. The Cadillac driver was taken to St. John's Riverside Hospital in Yonkers for treatment of his minor injuries.

The fatal collision happened on West Cold Spring Lane around 7:25 p.m. Wednesday when the driver of a 2007 Suzuki Forenza traveling westbound lost control, crossed into the eastbound lanes, and struck by an SUV traveling eastbound. The Suzuki’s driver, Idoreyin Montague, 30, was transported to Sinai Hospital where she died from her injuries just before midnight. The driver of the SUV was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Around midday, the driver of an SUV traveling on I-20 lost control and struck an embankment, which caused the vehicle to roll over multiple times. A 4-year-old child and three other people had to be transported to the hospital as a result of the crash, though the extent of their injuries is unknown.

Scott Gadsby, 46, of Parker was ejected from the 2000 Toyota 4Runner he was driving after losing control in the icy conditions and rolling over on E-470 south of Denver. The crash occurred in the northbound lanes at about 7:40 p.m. about one mile from Interstate 25, and Gadsby was pronounced dead at the scene.

Kassandra Keske was driving southbund on U.S. 169 when she lost control of her car on an icy stretch of road and collided with both an SUV and a pickup going the other way on the road. Keske died at the scene, and the driver of the SUV was hospitalized. The driver of the pickup truck was not hurt.

A semi-truck crashed into a car that spun out on icy Interstate 82 south of Ellensburg on Sunday morning, injuring two, the Washington State Patrol reported. Teresita Ronquillo of Federal Way was driving east at about 10:50 a.m. approximately 20 miles south of Ellensburg on I-82 when she lost control on the icy roadway and spun out in front of a tractor trailor driven by Gerald Krupp 63, of Caldwell, Idaho. Ronquillo’s 2002 Ford Focus two-door sedan was totaled, and Ronquillo and her passenger, Steven Schmele of Federal Way were treated and released at KVH Hospital in Ellensburg.
