Las Vegas, NVDespite wearing a seatbelt, a woman named Sheila Williams, 48, died on the scene and nine more people were injured when the driver of a Ford E350 lost control of the vehicle. The Econoline Van rotated, left the roadway edge and climbed up a concrete median before being overturned last Sunday, February 22. The injured occupants were taken to University Medical Center for treatment. According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the driver was traveling too fast in the rain. This is already the ninth fatal accident for the Nevada Highway Patrol - Southern Command just for this year alone.

Tuesday, December 10, 2013A 2-month-old child and a pair of adults dodged death when a passing driver clipped their car on an icy road near Klamath Falls on Wednesday and sent both vehicles flying into an irrigation canal, police said.
Howard Kingman, of Sisters, was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe north on U.S. 97 around 1:05 p.m. when he tried to pass a Toyota Prius near milepost 264, Oregon State Police said.
The 70-year-old driver lost control on the icy roadway and struck the Prius, which carried Robert Burton, 56, Bree Burton, 20, and her infant son, police said.
