The car went off the highway, down an embankment and struck a tree. Fiske was killed in the crash, and Colleen Seidel, 45, of Clifton Park, was taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to troopers who are investigating what caused the fatal accident.

An Orlando man died early Sunday after his motorcycle collided with a car in east Orange County.

The motorcyclist was identified by the Florida Highway Patrol as 25-year-old Robert Carr.

According to FHP, Carr was driving westbound on Colonial Drive near Forsyth Road at about 3 a.m. That's when a van driven by 26-year-old Harold Novella of Orlando hit the side of Carr's motorcycle.

Novella was attempting to make a left turn into Carr's path when the collision happened. Carr was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.

Four Chesterfield men involved in the fatal traffic accident on Route 155 in New Kent County Tuesday afternoon have been identified.

Julio C. Gonzalez-Hernandez, 61, Javier D. Ferrer, 25, and Jose A. Lopez-Velasquez, 26, were all killed in the accident. The car's driver, Saul A. Gonzalez-Hernandez, 65, brother of Julio C. Gonzalez-Hernandez, remains in critical condition, according to an email from a spokesperson for the Virginia State Police (VSP).

Orlando police and the Florida Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal accident that killed a bicyclist in Downtown Orlando Friday night.

Officers say a blue Honda was traveling west on East Colonial Drive just before 10:00 p.m. As the driver approached the intersection at Hamilton Avenue, 44-year-old Don Volkman was attempting to cross at the crosswalk with his bicycle. Investigators say the Honda struck Volkman and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigations are under way after a Washington Township man was crushed in an industrial accident in Shelby Township today. Erik Deighton, 23, was killed at Colonial Plastics, according to township police and a company statement. “The Roberts’ family and employees of the Colonial Group Companies mourn the tragic death of their fellow employee and friend, Erik Deighton,” according to the company statement from Cheryl Paschall. “The company is conducting an investigation as to the cause of the accident. We have no further information at this time.”

Nearly a dozen people have been injured on Wednesday morning in a crash involving a Lynx bus and a garbage truck, according to an Orlando Fire Department dispatcher.

Authorities say the crash was reported on West Colonial Drive just after 11 a.m. when the garbage truck clipped the side of the Lynx bus.

Ten people reported minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital.

The driver of the garbage truck has been cited.
