A man, estimated to be in his 60s, was hit and killed by a tow truck in Elk Grove, California Tuesday night. The incident occured around 10:00 p.m. on October 14 at Bruceville Road after the man attempted to cross a busy intersection against the traffic light. The man was rushed to the hospital, where he died.

Retired Hollywood stunt drivers Bob Orrison, 86, and Gary McLarty, 76, died in a car crash Saturday, October 12 just outside of Sacramento, California. The incident occured when Orrison took a U-turn in his Chevy pickup truck and was struck by a Jeep Cherokee traveling around 55 m.p.h. The two people inside the Jeep were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. This crash is under investigation.

Witaschek was driving on State Route 193 when, for a currently unknown reason, her car left the roadway. Witaschek lost control and traveled into the eastbound traffic lane where she collided with an oncoming pickup truck. Witsachek and the young passenger were killed; the driver of the pickup suffered minor injuries.

A Rancho Cordova man was killed and a Sacramento man injured early Monday morning when their truck crashed on Interstate 80 in Vallejo. Adrian Aponte, 19, a passenger in the 2012 Freightliner two-axle box truck was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which was reported at 3:24 a.m., according to a California Highway Patrol news release. The driver, 24-year-old Hilario C. Ramirez, sustained minor injuries.

A Sacramento motorcyclist died Wednesday morning in a collision in Sutter County. Mario Alan Cole, 26, was riding a motorcycle eastbound on Riego Road just east of Highway 99 about 7:20 a.m. He apparently failed to see a Ford F-350 pickup turning left in front of him from westbound Riego Road to a dirt shoulder area south of the roadway, according to a California Highway Patrol news release. Cole braked but was unable to stop before striking the right rear of the pickup. Cole was ejected from the motorcycle and hit the truck, according to the CHP. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A driver has died at the scene of a crash that closed Interstate 5 in Thornton for most of the early morning Friday. All southbound lanes of I-5 were reopened around 6 a.m. California Highway Patrol officials said that the crash began when a car traveling in the northbound lanes of I-5 collided with a big rig. The big rig then crashed through the center divide, hit two other cars and then landed across all southbound lanes. The wrong-way driver died at the scene, CHP says.

A young woman died and a man was jailed after a suspected DUI accident along Interstate 5 near Westley Thursday afternoon, authorities said. According to the California Highway Patrol, officer J. Peregoy was patrolling Interstate 5 when he got a call regarding a brown Lexus being driven recklessly in the area, possibly with some kind of domestic violence going on inside the car.

Two young people are dead and three other high school students remain seriously hurt after they were involved in a rollover crash in Vacaville this weekend. All five teens were ejected when a truck lost control and rolled over in a field on Pleasant Valley Road near Chester Way around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the California Highway Patrol. Speed and alcohol likely contributed to the crash, police said. The students attend Vacaville High School. Police said they were not wearing seat belts as they headed back from Lake Berryessa.

A high-speed chase down I-80 ended in a deadly crash in Antelope — with twin brothers now arrested on murder charges. The suspects — identified as Ruslan and Roman Glukhoy, both 19 — then took the F-150 truck and took off down I-80, hitting speeds up to 100 mph, until they ended up in Antelope. There, the suspects hit a car turning left near Antelope and Antelope North Roads. Two people were inside the other car at the time of the crash. Antelope residents Jose Luis Barriga-Tovar, 35, and his 14-year-old daughter, later identified as Anahi Tover, died instantly.
