A woman is in the hospital after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 6 in northwest Harris County. According to Harris County deputies, the 30-year-old victim was trying to cross the intersection at Kieth Harrow Boulevard early Wednesday morning when the vehicle hit her. Officials say the driver did not stop. Deputies said Life Flight airlifted the victim to Memorial Hermann Hospital in serious, but stable condition. She’s expected to survive. Investigators do not have a description of the wanted vehicle.

Houston police are investigating a deadly auto versus pedestrian accident on a Gulf Freeway feeder road. Officials say a 51-year-old man was crossing the feeder road near Broadway Street when he was hit by a pickup truck around 5:30 a.m. Saturday. Police say the victim, who did not use a crosswalk, was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he later died. Authorities say the driver of the pickup stayed at the scene. The driver was questioned by police and released with no charges filed. Houston police say their investigation continues.

Houston police are investigating a fatal accident near the Houston Heights. It happened around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of Yale Street. Police say a 41-year-old man was crossing the street when he was hit by a vehicle. The pedestrian did not use a crosswalk. The driver remained at the scene until emergency crews responded. Officials say the man was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead. No charges have been filed at this time.

Investigators are looking for two men who may have information about a deadly hit-and-run wreck in a northwest Harris County movie theater parking lot.

It happened at the Silverado Movie Theater in the 24000 block of Tomball Parkway. Investigators say two groups of people got into an argument about the end of a movie they watched.

After both groups left the theater, two males in one of the groups jumped into a white Ford F150. One of the males in the other group confronted them outside the passenger side door.

A suspected drunken driver fleeing police crashed through barricades at the South By Southwest festival in Austin, slamming into a crowd outside a nightclub and killing a man and woman on a moped early Thursday, police said. Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo said the motorist plowed into people gathered in front of an emptying nightclub around 12:30 a.m., injuring 23 people, five critically. He eventually crashed and tried to make a getaway on foot. A police officer shocked him with a stun gun and took him into custody, Acevedo said at a news conference.

Authorities are looking for the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident early Tuesday morning. Deputies responded to the 7000 block of FM 1960 around 3:30 a.m. after witnesses reported seeing a woman's body in the middle of the road. As of Tuesday morning, investigators hadn't released any information regarding the woman's identity, and they said it's still not clear why she was in the middle of the road. Detectives closed FM 1960 and diverted traffic while they conducted their investigation. All lanes of FM 1960 reopened shortly before 8 a.m.

Police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian accident involving a Houston Fire Department (HFD) vehicle.

It happened around 12:45 p.m. Thursday in the 300 block of S. Jensen near Kennedy in northeast Houston.

Houston police say a HFD vehicle and another car were involved in the crash.

Witnesses say a white car pulled out in front of the HFD vehicle causing it to drive up over a curb and hit a person.

The victim was pinned under the HFD vehicle and died at the scene.

A deadly hit-and-run crash closed part of Kuykendahl Road in north Harris County early Thursday morning. Harris County sheriff's deputies said a red sedan with two men inside was heading south on Kuykendahl just after midnight when a man was crossing the road near the intersection of Cypress Landing. The pedestrian was hit by the car. His body actually went into the windshield," said a Sgt. with the Harris County Sheriff's Office. "He rode on top of the car for two or three hundred yards." The man, later identified as Julio Alberto Moreira, died at the scene.

All inbound North Freeway lanes have reopened just south of Woodlands Parkway after a fatal accident scene has cleared.

The accident was reported just before 6 a.m. Friday.

DPS investigators said the man, identified as 74-year-old Bobby Lee Poe, suffered from Alzheimer's disease and was pushing a garbage can on the freeway when he was hit.

DPS officials said Poe had crossed the northbound lanes and was attempting to cross the southbound lanes when he was hit by an SUV.

Officials said Poe died at the scene.

Police are looking for the driver responsible for a fatal hit-and-run accident in northeast Houston. Police say a 41-year-old woman was hit by a vehicle just after 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the 4500 block of Lyons. The victim was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where she died. Officials said the driver of the vehicle did not stop and help the victim. At this time police do not know of any witnesses.
