Port St. Lucie police say they found the car suspected of striking a student around 6:45 a.m. Monday. Investigators say they were called to the 500 block of SW Lucero Drive where they found a person, later identified as Diana Andrea Gil, 18, lying on the side of the road. They say a car struck her and propelled her 30 feet into the swale and then left on the north side of the street.

A Palm Tran bus, tractor-trailer and car were involved in a wreck Wednesday morning in West Palm Beach, according to police.

The wreck occurred around 10 a.m. at southbound N. Australian Avenue and 36th Street.

There are reports of minor injuries to seven people.

A deadly crash on Boynton Beach Boulevard near the Florida Turnpike has shut down both the east and westbound lanes of the boulevard.

Traffic investigators say a Jeep driven by Clarence Stalsworth of Sevierville, Tennessee struck the rear of a Chrysler driven by Anthony Distefano of Boca Raton.

Both vehicles were traveling westbound on Boynton Beach Boulevard and were approaching Orchid Grove Trial, just east of the Turnpike.

The Chrysler ended up on the grass on the north side of the road.

A man was airlifted to a hospital after a two-car crash Tuesday evening in The Acreage, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said.

The wreck took place just east of an intersection where a boy died and three other people were injured last month.

The crash occurred just after 5 p.m. on Northlake Boulevard east of Hall Boulevard, about eight miles west of Florida’s Turnpike, said. Capt. Albert Borroto, Fire Rescues spokesman.

One person was airlifted to a hospital Saturday morning after a two-car wreck in Loxahatchee, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said. The wreck happened at about 5:45 a.m. at Southern Boulevard and Flying Cow Road, west of Binks Forest Drive, said Capt. Albert Borroto, Fire Rescue spokesman. Two people were injured. One patient was flown to Delray Medical Center by Trauma Hawk, Borroto said. The other was taken by ambulance to Palms West Hospital in Loxahatchee with minor injuries.

The Okeechobee County Sheriff's office made a surprising discovery recently after deputies responded to a single vehicle accident.

The crash happened on March 21st in the 168th block of Highway 441 North.

Deputies found the driver of the car, Abey DiazPino, age 44, dead at the scene. The sheriff's office then turned the investigation over to Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP responded to 1185 NE 342 Trail in Okeechobee to notify the victim's family.

Palm Beach Gardens Police arrested a woman on charges of property damage and driving under the influence after she admitted to officers she had been drinking prior to a crash with a metro bus.

Officers responded to PGA Boulevard and Campus Drive for a crash involving a metro bus that had been rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Karen Andreae of North Palm Beach.

Fort Pierce police officers are investigating a traffic crash that left a 53-year-old man dead.

On Friday around 5:45 p.m., Fort Pierce resident Tony Knight was riding a bicycle west across North 25th Street near Avenue G.

Knight was hit by a vehicle driven by Michael Sanders, according to police. Sanders was heading north on North 25th Street.

Sanders, 45, of Fort Pierce underwent a toxicology test and investigators are awaiting results.

A 70-year-old man piloting a twin-engine Cessna was injured Friday evening when his plane crashed near Witham Field in Stuart, authorities said.

The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. in a grassy area along the 1000 block of Southeast Federal Highway near Southeast Tressler Avenue, said Officer Brian Bossio, city police spokesman.

Police identified the pilot late Friday as Marlin Moudy, a native of Wyoming.

Moudy was trying to land at Witham Field, which lies just southeast of the crash site. He avoided hitting several homes as his plane was crashing, authorities said.

Two children were taken to the hospital Friday after a wreck involving a sport-utility vehicle and a school bus in Greenacres. The crash happened just before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Lake Worth Road and 57th Avenue. All roads are back open after earlier closures. One child, who was in the SUV, was taken to Delray Community Hospital by Trauma Hawk for precautionary reasons, according to Lt. Brady Myers with the Greenacres Department of Safety. A second child, who was on the school bus, was taken to Palms West Hospital. Neither child had life-threatening injuries, said Myers.
