A devastating incident unfolded in Deer Park on Long Island, New York, when a 2020 Chevy Traverse driven by 64-year-old Steven Schwally crashed into Hawaii Nail & Spa just after 4:30 pm on a Friday afternoon. Eyewitnesses described a harrowing scene as Schwally allegedly sped through a Kohl's parking lot on Commack Road before abruptly crossing Grand Boulevard and smashing into the nail salon's front entrance.
Marco Borghese, 70, of Cutchogue, was pronounced dead at Peconic Bay Medical Center, in Riverhead, after a two-vehicle collision June 30, 2014, on Route 25A in Wading River. Suffolk County police said Borghese’s car "failed to navigate a curve in the roadway" and collided head-on with a delivery truck.
