Arvada police investigating fatal hit-and-run accident, seeking a dark sedan

"We're looking for a dark colored sedan, possibly a Honda," Vanderveen said. "There was a driver side mirror that belongs to a Honda Accord at the scene."

Arvada police are looking for a dark sedan suspected of being involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 61-year-old man on Sheridan Boulevard. The police said the pedestrian died instantly. He was crossing Sheridan westbound near 82nd Avenue. The suspect vehicle apparently was traveling southbound on Sheridan and hit the pedestrian, then continued southbound on Sheridan and turned west on 80th Avenue.
