This is directed to the local cop that said the truck driver should not be charged. He didn't see it and I did. The boy was playing in front of my tree directly across the street from his home. The grandfather was sitting on his porch alone watching the boy. The truck driver backs straight out way too fast and had he looked before entering his vehicle or even in his rear view mirror it never would have happened. Tell the cops to get their story straight. That truck driver should be charged with negligence at the very least.

at the very least the truck driver should be charged with negligence. All he had to do is look.

The grandfather was sitting on his porch alone watching the boy playing across the street. The infant was gone with her mother and grandmother at the time. The driver of the truck backed straight out quickly as he always does. Had he looked before he entered his truck or in his rear view mirror the accident would never have happened.

This story is A BS! Im his grand aunt ! He was not running any where the wretchet truck driver run over him while he was sitting and playing on the grass! The fool was reckless driver and back his truck on the grass! The grand Father was right there and no other infact was with him!

You're a joke!!!!!!!! You weren't there you crazy lady! The little boy was not playing in the grass, the truck wasn't even near the grass/ tree area!!! All tires were on the pavement!! You & your family go enjoy the 6million given to you. If the grandfather had actually been out there it wouldn't have happened! That child was NEVER watched while he was outside!!! It was a complete & horrible ACCIDENT!

The grandfather was sitting on his porch when the boy was hit. Their two year old granddaughter was not even home so your story is incorrect . The truck driver backs out much to quickly and had he looked in his rear view mirror he would have seen the boy. Yes it was a tragic accident but one that could have been avoided.
