A Chisholm man was killed and his passenger injured when the motorcycle he was riding went off a highway ramp in Chisholm early this morning.

Killed in the crash about 2:50 a.m. Saturday on the southern edge of Hibbing was the motorcycle’s operator, Casey M. Lantz, 31, of Chisholm, Minn. Hospitalized in Hibbing with non-life threatening injuries was Jessica C. Lantz, 32, the State Patrol said.
Motorcycle Accident Leaves One Dead
An early morning motorcycle accident in Chisholm has left one dead.At 2:50 am, a motorcycle carrying two passengers was attempting to exit on the highway 73 ramp from highway 169 when the driver swerved into a ditch on the exit ramp.
Casey M. Lantz was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was riding swerved into a ditch. Both Lantz and his passenger, Jessica C. Lantz, 32, were thrown from the motorcycle. Both were taken to a local hospital where Casey Lantz was declared dead, and Jessica Lantz was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Neither rider was wearing a helmet.
