Nun Fatally Struck By Metra Train in North Suburbs
Odoemena, a Sister with the Daughters of the Divine Lord Order, lived in the Convent at St. James School. She is originally from Nigeria, where she had been a teacher and principal, and came to the United States in 2008.

Odoemena was escorting another nun to the train station at about 8:00am. Her companion successfully crossed the tracks as a train was approaching, but when Odoemena tried to cross, she was struck. After being taken to a local hospital, Odoemena was pronounced dead.
