MORRIS '€“ A 20-year-old Morris man was killed Wednesday morning when he was hit by a train in the city. "Evidence indicates the young man was wearing headphones wired into his phone. According to the engineer, he stated the horn was sounded, but the young man never turned around," Callahan's release states. Zachary Leo Johnston, 20, of Morris was walking west on the railroad tracks at the Liberty Street crossing when he was struck and killed by the train, according to the news release. Both the Liberty Street and Wauponsee Street railroad crossings were closed off for several hours as the investigation progressed, but were reopened by late Wednesday afternoon.
