Semi driver could face charges in fatal Bainbridge Township crash

It's likely that a semi driver will face criminal charges in a crash that killed one man and seriously injured another Monday in Bainbridge Township, police said. The crash happened at 3:19 p.m. and closed U.S. 422 eastbound between SOM Center Road in Solon and Chillicothe Road in Bainbridge Township. Bokovitz said it's likely the driver will face criminal charges, but authorities will complete the investigation before making any determinations. "We're clear on the circumstances of the crash, but we're still investigating why this semitrailer went off the side of the road," Bokovitz said. It could take several weeks to complete the investigation into the crash that closed part of the eastbound lane of U.S. 422 for nearly seven hours, Bainbridge Township Police Chief Jon Bokovitz said Wednesday.

I am touched by reading everyone's comments here. Thank you. My heart still mourns for my nephew. I was ten years old when he was born and babysat many, many times. He was a remarkable baby, child, teen and young man. My heart also goes out to the family of the man who was placed in the ICU. May our Heavenly Father continue to give us strength, mercy and comfort. I miss you nephew. I'll see you in Heaven.
