A California Highway Patrol cruiser and a car collided Sunday night on Highway 99 in Butte County, sending three people to the hospital with minor to moderate injury.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred about 12:30 p.m. when a vehicle traveling on Highway 99 went off the roadway and crashed into a tree.
A CHP spokesman said one person has been confirmed dead.
A 30-year-old man had died after being struck by a car as he attempted to cross Highway 99 near Manor Way in Everett around 10 p.m. Thursday night. The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he was pronounced dead.
Two people were hurt Tuesday afternoon when a Community Transit bus struck a sport utility vehicle on Highway 99 in Lynnwood. The crash happened just before 4:30 p.m., Lynnwood police said.
A big rig has struck traffic safety barrels filled with sand south of Elk Grove on southbound Highway 99, causing a big traffic back-up.
Highway 99 in Hazel Dell was blocked for about two hours Thursday evening after a three-car collision.
Nobody was injured in the collision, but both directions of the highway were closed near Northeast 112th Street because there was debris and gasoline on the roadway.
