I-79 southbound

High winds and swirling snow that slashed visibility to nearly zero left the southbound lanes of Interstate 79 littered with wrecked cars and trucks Thursday morning.

A 27-year-old driver was killed Thursday morning when his car crashed into a parked tractor-trailer on Interstate 79 southbound in Washington County. The crash happened about 9:45 a.m. near the Marianna/Prosperity exit in Amwell Township.
