An 18-year-old motorcyclist was killed late Monday when he slammed into a cable barrier along Interstate 5 at high speed. Troopers responded to the scene, in the northbound lanes of I-5 in Whatcom County, at about 10:45 p.m. Monday after receiving a report of a serious motorcycle crash.
The Washington State Patrol said a 78-year-old woman caused a crash on Interstate 5 near Mount Vernon when she turned around and started heading the wrong way. The crash happened shortly after 6 a.m.
