Asheville police said one person is dead after a crash involving a moped and a car. Officers said the collision happened at 9:50 p.m. Friday on Patton Avenue at Mimosa Drive. Police said Graham Smith Shepley, 26, of Asheville, was operating a moped that was traveling east on Patton Avenue.
