A Maui woman was killed during an apparent hit-and-run accident late Tuesday night, according to Maui Police. An MPD spokesperson says Viki Dearforff, 51, of Kihei, was killed when she was struck by a Toyota truck while walking on Piilani Highway.

There was a fatal crash that happened on Piilani Highway around 2 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators say a 28-year-old male from Kula was traveling North Bound in a pickup truck when he drifted into the bicycle lane and struck a bicyclist.

Maui police say at 1:56 a.m. Friday, Clifford Spencer, 63, was riding a black Harley Davidson motorcycle north-bound on Piilani Hwy. when he lost control and hit a guardrail near Kaiwahine St.
