Bill Adkins, 53, was killed when he lost control of the 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle he was driving about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. The crash occurred near mile marker 102, about four miles southwest of Bessemer, just beyond the Alabama 216 exit.
