The candlelight vigil is being held one week after 8-year-old Amere Savage was hit by a car in the Gate City neighborhood park. Community spokesman Jeremy Love said The Gate City Foundation will be accepting donations to help with Amere's funeral, which will be handled by Aubrey Bushelon Funeral Services.
