Sun believed factor in wreck involving school bus in Colbert Co.
There was a wreck involving a school bus and a car at around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. The wreck happened on River Road in Colbert County. The bus was stopped at Jasper Hallow Road off River Road to pick kids up for school when it was hit from behind by a car going eastbound.
The car driver was airlifted to Huntsville Hospital; no information on her condition is available. There were less than 12 children on the bus at the time of the accident, and none of them were injured. The scene has been cleared, and River Road has reopened. Officials believe that sun in the car driver's eyes may have been a factor.
