1 person injured when car and school bus collide on Oakwood Avenue at Interstate 565 in Huntsville, Alabama

School bus involved in wreck in Huntsville

All eastbound lanes on Oakwood Avenue at Interstate 565 were closed down this morning following a crash involving a Huntsville school bus. The crash occurred when the bus collided with a gray sedan. One person traveling in the car was taken to the hospital, but none of the children on the bus needed medical attention. Keith Ward, a school district spokesman, told WAFF 48 that eight students were on the bus at the time of the crash. They were taken to their schools - Chapman School and Lee and New Century Technology high schools - by another bus.
