Appling said a 2006 Buick driven by Celeste Kay Wills, 41, of Florence, collided with the 1973 Massey Ferguson tractor Cochran was driving.
A fatal collision happened on Highway 72 in Lauderdale County Thursday evening when 55-year-old Bobby Wade Cochran was driving a tractor that collided with another vehicle at 6:05 p.m., on Highway 72 just east of Killen. Cochran was pronounced deceased at the crash site. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to ECM Hospital. That person's identity and condition are not currently being reported.
