Using sonar to help map the bottom of the creek, divers spent about two hours Monday afternoon in the cold, murky water. Just as divers were about to finish for the night, Jackson’s body was located.
Family and friends watched and waited all day in the parking lot near Gator Alley waiting for news of their son and brother.
Authorities say there is no indication that this was anything but a tragic accident.
