Teen faces manslaughter charge in crash that killed Mobile woman

A 16-year-old turned himself in to authorities Friday for causing a crash that killed a Mobile woman in November, the Mobile County District Attorney's office said Friday. Wilkinson Nichols Howes will be charged with manslaughter, the District Attorney's office said in a press release. Claudia Leatherwood, 38, died in the crash on Lloyds Lane and one of her children was severely injured.

According to officials a female died and a 9-year-old boy was transported to a local hospital in critical condition following an accident on Lloyd's Lane.
